Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Norway: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of top navigation and maps apps on the Android platform in Norway showcased interesting trends. Here's a breakdown of the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Vegvesen trafikk saw a significant decrease in weekly downloads, starting at around 4.9K at the beginning of January and dropping to just over 500 by the end of March. This trend highlights a notable decline in user acquisition over the quarter.

Google Earth maintained a relatively stable number of weekly downloads, fluctuating between 600 and 1K throughout the quarter. Active users exhibited some variability, starting at 6.7K, dipping in early January, but recovering to end March at approximately 7K.

Bilista experienced a steady pattern in downloads, ranging from approximately 500 to 900 per week. This consistency reflects a stable user interest in the app during this period.

The Skisporet.no Android app demonstrated a decline in downloads, from over 1.1K at the start of the quarter to just 71 by the end. However, revenue peaked in mid-February at about $422 and weekly active users started strong at 6.7K, reaching a peak of 8.7K in early January before stabilizing around 6.2K by the end of March.

Finally, Kolumbus showed a gradual increase in weekly active users, beginning at 14.4K and reaching 18.1K by the end of the quarter. Downloads also rose towards the end of March, peaking at 646.
